As I write this, it's about 7:00 p.m. EST.
I sincerely hope that everyone has a Happy New Year and that 2012 is a year of health, wealth and happiness.
My beloved wife is preparing our traditional New Year's Eve evening meal.
Fried oysters, steamed shrimp, potato salad, and cole slaw.
(There might be a beer or two consumed with the shrimp, and maybe a taste of Maker's Mark.)
As usual, we are not going out. We prefer to celebrate the New Year with as many of our children as we can get to 'come home'.
(Unfortunately, as they grow up, they would rather celebrate with their friends and loved ones, instead of being with "The Old Folks"!)
IF you are on the road tonight, PLEASE be careful, and practice defensive driving.
Watch out for 'the other guy'!
