Took to UPS today. You are giving the old heater a new life, don't worry about the shipping. I hate to see working parts trashed. Good luck with it.

Looks good! I installed mine today. I look forward to buttoning up the rest of the cooling system today and see if there are any leaks.

, , , but not in the heater box. It worked fine. I actually have heat in the cab now! Thanks Jeff. Now if I can find the blower and plenum I'll be able to spread it around a bit.

Denny has done some amazing things with parts that a lot of folks would scrap. These Ford parts were only used on 1949-50 models.

If anyone can help I would appreciate it.
I now have everything I need. Thanks again to firstrider.

Glad I saw this thread, Gertie has the same heater in her as the ones shown here.

I do have a question though, is there anyone molding exact replacement ***** for the controls? My heater blower **** is in fine shape, but the defrost, temp, and air ***** have literally disintegrated.

I may have a couple of ***** for the heater. They're white, correct? PM or email me a picture of yours to confirm.

Thanks for the quick reply Ilya. Yes, they are white. A good picture of them is in the first post of this thread.

The problem with the original *****, is that almost every one I have ever seen, has a serious cracking issue. And over time, they just crumble away.

Here's what I have. They're used, but I didn't see any cracks. PM or email me if you're interested (to keep the mods happy).

Again thanks to Denny's sharp eyes watching eBay I now have everything that I need except the blower to heater box duct part 18584 and Denny is working on that.
