Am/Fm on stock radio not working..
My radio only plays cds. Im getting really tired of listening to the same Bob Marley and Lenny cravits. I like listening to Elvis Duran and the morning show in the morning on the way to take the kids to work and would really like to get my radio working.
When I turn it on all I hear is static and sometimes I can actually make out voices off in the distance. Anyway. I did take it out and checked the antenna plug to see if it was loose or something but it looked good to me. I also went under the hood and checked where the antenna wire connects to the actual antenna and it looked good. I checked the ground and it's grounded good. Im trying to keep from buying a new radio for now so please if anybody can lend a hand I would really appreciate it.

Did your Ex come with an LCD overhead console with a VHS player underneath the second row? If so, you may have an FM RF modulator that's on all the time. It's there to run the sound from the VHS through a specific frequency on your FM dial.
See if there is a toggle switch on the fuse door panel or something and turn it off.

I have the stock radio from my 05 excursion if you are interested. Am/Fm with cd changer and cassette player. Not sure if it will fit in your 00. Make an offer if you want to.
