I have one, I love it. I actually have dual monitors which, if you haven't ever used them could take some getting used to but after using them I can't stand using a single monitor. There, I think I've said enough. Crap, I forgot to hit enter. Is it every time or only when someone posts a picture?

Not all pictures but large ones cause it too. Im thinking it's either a new member with wide screen or an older member that just go a wide screen for xmas..

It's only the large photos that are posted from an external source, because to post as an attachment with FTE you have to be a supporter and it limits the picture size.
It is caused by larger, higher resolution pictures posted in the thread somewhere. If you unmaximize your screen, even on your 17", the text will conform to the width of the Internet Explorer windows automatically unless there is a large picture.
Do you have to scroll over to the right to read each line on a thread? This happens when a members has a widescreen and posts without hitting enter to drop the sentence to the next line. Some of us with 17'" monitors and under have a difficult time reading posts when a member with 24" or so monitors writes till the space drops the line on it's own. Every post on that thread is then stretched to accommodate the one member with widescreen.
Not correct.
You do not have to hit "enter" when typing. FTE automatically will parse the spacing to accommodate whatever screen resolution a person is running.
The problem occurs when too large a picture is posted, causing people to scroll across in order to read the post, and it happens if NO spaces are used when typing.
There is a fairly new member here who is "adjusting" his signature to try and fit everything in that he likes, without using spaces. I sent him a PM last night to correct this problem. He hasn't logged back on yet today to read my PM, so patience please.

Not trying to start arguments here, but that link looks fine on Windows 7 Internet Explorer 9, maximized, normal and resized. It could get into what you are actually using to browse the site too, therefore noted what I use.

Argument? No, just a little technical issue. I think Stew has Identified the issue. See post 10.
