this is the "rattletrap"

and here is a shot of me. i used to have a black beard, but the "santa syndrome" has crept up on me over the past couple of years.

That sucks. I have to admit CA is one place I would not consider better than NJ, and not the smallest reason for that is that it would seem everyone from there drives a CARB-certified Prius. Now even here in the Northeast all the new commercial trucks have bright-orange CARB stickers on the fender.

What are the emissions inspections like in CA, for those who drive older commercial vehicles?

I live in Utah. There is a few junk yards that hold onto their vehicles forever. Stacked 3 and 4 high. Then there are a few that have real clean neat places that rotate their inventory every 2 to 3 weeks. Theres even a few that have most all the parts pulled already, and you can't go into the yard.
