I know it is not exactly the "engine" but seems like this group replies better and with more information than the other forums, so I will ask my question. I have a 2006 CC 4wd that with the help here is now running great, but I would like to change its appearence a little yet not kill the ride or go for expensive redesign. I would like to raise mine a little yet not kill the ride. Something just enough to give the look of a little "bigger". Is there a lift or leveling kit that would raise it some but doesnt kill the ride/handling or require new shocks, brake lines or suspension part changes? I know its asking a lot, but just want to sit a little taller.
is it a 250 or 350? if its a 250, you can just buy some 2" coils and 4" blocks for the rear and raise it about 2". thats what i just did to my 250, except its a leaf sprung truck so i just added a mini spring pack.
Then yes, either you could buy new coils or coil spacers. Really not that familiar with the coil sprung super dutys but i know both options exist. For the back i put in tapered Readylift 4" blocks because of my short wheelbase, but i believe with your crew cab wheelbase you can buy the non-tapered ones. Lifted my truck about 2" on the dot

You may also be able to find some one that has some 6,000 plow prep springs to sell you cheap. I have a Bilstien leveling kit on mine and it raised the front abour 2.25" after the springs settled. I have a 350 so I did nothing to the rear. But I did get new Biltstien 5100's for my truck all the way around as it had about 55k on it and I am sure the factory ranchos were shot.
It rides the same, just gace it a little attitude, and will look better when I get my 305 BFG's

P.S. I have some 6k springs of you dont have the plow prep package.
