misfire
Ok well I have a misfire on 3&8. I changed the spark plugs and coils on both of them. And cleared the code. Turned on the truck and it still sounds the same. I can feel the truck vibrate when I'm driving but between 40-54mph the truck shakes like hell and you have to give it gas all the way to 55 for it to feel "comfortable". I have no clue what it could be. I'm not missing on any other cylinders.
The speed you gave is the give-away to the issue.
If cylinders 3 and 8 are not setting codes you got thoses but there are others.
Change the rest or you will be hunting them down because they don't set codes for you to see. They are missfires for a different reason.
Good luck.
You need to grease inside and ends of the boot tips for two reasons.
One to help seal the area and second to allow the boot to 'auto find' the plug tip and set down on it easy without cocking to the side and allowing the voltage a path to the head.
The flashing was telling you that there was no ignition and the cylinders' are passing raw gas to the cats that can burn in them causing them to melt, then you can have real issues with cost and labor.
Be sure the connector are seated on the coils.
Good luck.
