My wifes 01expedtions low oil light comes on when cold out only.it will be on with gauge pinned at 0 for bout 5-10 minutes.and won't do it again until next cold morning.why is this?anyone else going threw this?thanks all

This happened with my Navigator last month. A new oil pressure sensor solved the problem.
Can't say it was fun changing it. Had to get it from underneath and it was a real tight fit, and oil will pour out of the sensor hole, run along the frame and drip off the passenger side. So be ready for that little surprise. After I was all done, off the jackstands, and moved the truck I noticed the rubber seal on the ground for the connector to the sensor. After a few very loud SOB remarks I had to get back under and remove the connector again to install the seal.
