Question Radius Arm bushings??

I have started to notice that I am getting a slight clunk in the front end of my truck. I notice the most when going down a rough field road, or going on some of our less than desirable temp. driveways to jobsites, but I have also noticed it a little when turning off the street and into my driveway. My truck (see sig) has 148,000 miles on it and the radius arm bushings have never been replaced. So I am thinking that this could be the clunk. How do I check them and how hard are they to replace?? Or could it be the pivot points for the TTB front end? These are also the original units. Any thoughts would be great!! Thanks guys!!

Radius Arm bushings??

a decent way to check it, is remove the rear driveshaft, put it in 4WD, and do a couple quick starts/stops.
If it clunks then, then I would bet it is the rad arm bushings.
The quick starts/stops are makin the front axle pull away from the vehicle, so the arms are moving back and forth through the mount and bushings, causing a clunk.
Either that, or just jack the front end up enough to get a tire off the ground, by the frame, and use some elbow grease on the rad arm near the bushing and see how much play there is. I don't think there should be much, if any.

Radius Arm bushings??

Try lifting the truck with a floor jack right near the end of the arm before the radius arm bracket. If you can lift/move the arm without lifting the truck, it needs a bushing. At 148K, you most likely need it.
