Wheel Speed Sensor Question

Has anyone used the Dorman wheel speed sensors? I need one for one of the front hubs. The price difference between the Dorman and the Motorcraft is about $90. Wondering if there is a big difference in quality or just huge mark-up? The rear sensor is only about $20. Would a stretch of wire and a connector really cost over $100?

Thanks,
Brad

Price is often higher due to the quantity that the company has made for them. Dorman may request 10,000 of each unit and Motorcraft may only buy 1,000. Dorman will be able to spread the cost out more. May be the same manufacture that makes them all.

I haven't used one, but Dorman seems to make good replacement products. I'd try one, if the need arises.

I have a Dorman part in my wife's truck and it seems to work fine. The 4x4 front ABS sensors are expensive. 4x2 are not that much more than the rear so it sounds like your price is for the 4x4 version.
