Hey guys, I'm an old timer on this forum but I've been posting in the '09 and newer thread and kind of neglecting my old '00 F-150 SCAB 4x4 XLT. My wife has been driving it for the last couple years.
Lately, her blinkers have been acting funny, not turning on immediately and sometimes not at all when the turn signal lever is switched. The fuse is good and I cannot figure out which relay it would be. It seems like it is a relay going bad because it is intermittent. Anyone have any ideas? The only other thing I can think of would be a bad turn signal switch inside the column, but this feels more like an old school flasher going bad.
My 1997 did the same years ago as they would intermittently work. I simply flushed the multi function switch with contact cleaner and exercised the switch a few times while spraying. Be sure to have a rag to catch the contact cleaner as it drips out. I assume corrosion may have set in the switch? Everything has been working normal since.

Good luck correcting yours.
This sounds promising... Where is the Multi function switch located? Inside the column collar? Thanks.
