Thanks for the welcome !
Thank you very much for the warm welcome. Not only I am new to this forum I am new to automotive forums in general.
I have been an electronics technician for over 30 years which makes me an old coot I guess. I use the F-350 to haul around horses and ponies for my wife. She raises ponies to sell, gives riding lessons, puts on her own horse show, judges other peoples horse shows and, on occasion, move horses/ponies for people but we aren't a professional hauler.
The reason I joined the forum was because I recently had to replace the Fuel Injector Control Module (FICM) at almost $1000. Afterwards I found it was very likely I could have repaired the FICM myself considering my electronics background. I had no idea of the amount of information available on the Internet.
My first car was a 67 Mustang and I did all the work on it. In the last 10-15 years I have let myself be intimidated by the modern auto technology. Now that I have found automotive forums and all that they have to offer I plan on doing more of the repair work myself. I guess I must really be an old coot because I find today's labor and part prices outrageous and totally unaffordable.
Thanks again for the warm welcome !

Great to have you on board Steve! Sounds like your electrical knowledge might come in handy around here. Might have you keep you on my speed dial!
If there are any questions about the forum (any part of it) that you might have, please let me know. If I cannot figure it out, I know someone that can.
Also, if you want to chat it up with some other "old coots" as you call 'em, then come join the fellas in the monthly chat/BS thread. We're mostly there just shooting the .... but it is entertaining from time to time.
