T-500 Installed

I took last Friday off and installed a T-500 from Riffraff Diesel. I couldn't let well enough alone, so I decided before installing it I would put in a little elbow grease and spiff her up a bit. Well one thing led to another and next thing I knew I had the polishing paraphernalia out and I was going to town on it. I know for most, the HPOP is not even something they want to look at, but I figured what the heck!

I was surprised with the results. Only took about 20-30 seconds of cranking and she came to life. Let it idle for 5 minutes, then switched the DP Tuner to 1200 high idle for another 10 minutes. Ran her down the road and she pulled a bit more solid than before. Next day took it on a 100+ mile trip up HWY 2 to Stevens Pass to get the air out of the system and try it out on decent hills that are long. I was pretty impressed with the top end pull she has now. Duty Cycle is definitely less now than I had with the stock pump (which was pretty healthy anyway). I watched it pretty religiously with the Aeroforce Scan Gauge the whole trip.

Decided this is the route I should go with the thought of new sticks and live tuning in the future.

Here are the before and after pics

I've pondered getting one. But I dont ever plan on going for big power. So these stock injectors will stay in until they die. If/when they die I might get better ones, but thats not something I plan for.

Do you have stock injectors?

Yes I have stock injectors right now. I am not planning on going for big power either, just like to have enough snort when pulling my trailer. Mostly looking for good reliable towing.

Nice job Ken My T-500 is still in the box awaiting my return to Fl.
I did some "before" AE logging so Im anxious to see the "after" results, and even more anxious to do some towing.
A little polishing is a nice touch. I wouldn't expect any less from you Ken
The price is going up next month, so A T-500 should be on everyones Christmas list.

Per Terminator Engineering dealer memo the cost is going up January 1st by $100. So retail will go from $349 to $449. Get your orders in before the end of the year to save with the old pricing.

If anyone is thinking they may be looking for a new HPOP, this would be a perfect time. I am pretty pleased with the power difference it has provided. Much stronger feeling now than before.

Maybe I am wrong, but what I think it said was that if you send them a spare HPOP then you get $100.00 off when you order one of their kits. Basically you have to send two HPOPs.

Mine made a big difference up top on the stock tunes. On the hotter tunes it is a different truck. My truck had a reman pump in it and wouldn't hold much over 1300 psi WOT. The T-500 can hold twice the pressure at 1/3 the DC of my old pump.

i just installed mine 2 weekends ago, and immediately i could feel a difference. WOT i could only hold about 1500 psi and now easily 2400. i am also on stock sticks with 205K on them. i actually had a modded 17, but like Clay said that is discontinued. and actually from what i was told, the modded is only as good as the core, so if your core wasn't holding great, the modded wouldn't be much better.

when i installed the modded, i felt nothing at all. just figured it was not modded too much, but after having Jody live tune it and look at his graphs, i knew the pump wasn't up to snuff. the T500 also has helped in all power ranges from stock to 140 aggressive and at low and mid end also. one of the best mods i have done to date...next will be some injectors
