I have a 98 explorer and I was trying to change my clock and now I can no longer see the display. All the lights on the buttons work. It is just the display that does not. Any Ideas?

If the display digits are bright green, then they're fluorescent and you have a big problem. If they're black on a colored background, then it's an LCD display and you can try to replace the illumination bulb inside.

You are right more of a problem but still fixable. I took my head unit apart and soldered some points but it did not come back on. But then I payed 20 to this guy and he gave me the instructions on how to fix it. Took less then 30 minutes to fix it and now no problems. If his fix doesnt work he tells you where to buy the replacement part for like 80. If you need to know where to get this guys info look at a thread on the next page you should be able to find it.
