Well I made it the first leg... Drove from Whidbey Island, Wa to Las Vegas, Nv. 1300+ miles in my truck and no major issues to speak of. Had 5-7 degree Delta the entire way. Minor issues were chugging/farting turbo on some of the passes, and had the ABS light pop on me. It would reset itself after a start cycle, but only last about 80 miles before the truck would flutter and cruise would kick off, but all you had to do was reset the cruise, and it was fine for duration. Once it got dark on the road I was able to see that if the cruise indicator was lit then the Low Range light was backlit also very dimmly. I am sure it has to be something involved with ABS. Truck ran great all in all, and I want to install ELC, but I don'tnt to mess up the good thing I already have so I think will put it off alittle longer. I also installed blue spring on Fri which had my pressure reading a constant 70psi. Any thoughts on ABS light? Merry X-Mas and Happy Holidays to you and yours

Mine has done this since it was new, I think it's just a bleed-over of light behind the cluster. I've never had any issues with the ABS light or cruise control.
I read something a long time ago about a rear ABS sensor cracking and causing intermittent ABS light, maybe a partially interrupted signal might be enough to make the cruise module think about kicking itself off.
Appreciate the input Bryan, and too be honest if mine would have done that all along it would drive me nuts. The cruise works just fine until the ABS light pops, and then it's only a matter of re-setting it. Ah well.. I have some tools with me, but not everything and I am lucky if bro-inlaw has a screwdriver so not gonna start digging for culprit till I get back home. Guess I better get used to looking at that light
Well I finally broke down and took SD to Team Ford located here in Las Vegas, and after deleting all DTC's the only one thqt came back was P0299. So I gave thm the greenlight to recondition turbo. A leak was also discoverd in the hot side CAC boot, but rather that getting boot from ford I gave clay a call at Riff Raff and I should have them here by thurs for about $100 bucks cheaper and in time for me to load up on Fri and make my way back to the Pacific Northwest. My ABS issue isn't covered by the aftermarket warranty company so I am going to just deal with it till I get home and can figure out what it is. Turbo does seem to be more responsive after no longer having that rust in there to hold it back..
My cost was $388. Extended warranty covered the remaining $700. It stunck having to pay it, but I am away from home for holidays and couldn't see me being able to do this job so quickly.
I made the return trip back to Washington with no issues whatsoever. Truck did awesome, and got between 19-20mpg (hand calculated) on both legs of the trip. Also wanted to throw a pitch in for Clay over at Riff Raff for having such a fine product in those CAC boots. UPS screwed the order away, and put me back on the road a day later, but Clay refunded the shipping costs, and I got me and my daughter home just in time for Santa Claus. For all those out there like me that have read what a stand-up guy Clay is...well it's nothing but the truth. I WILL and WOULD recommend Riff Raff to be your first stop when shopping for PSD. Hope everyone had a Merry X-Mas, and has a safe New Year
Yes I am up on the rock. Been here for about 4yrs this go round, and just signed on for another 3 which will take me out to 21, and after that who knows....
Cool. I was there from 93-96 stationed at the Security Detechment. Left after 7 years 3 months 6 days as an MA1. My Niece's mom is stationed there and I'm thinking of a motorcycle road trip back there in the early summer for a visit.
