Normally you do not have to ground the alternator, it grounds through the mounting brackets. If you feel you need a ground, any bolt hole or bracket will do. I have run separate grounds to the alternator on occasion, but that was for vehicles used in the salt for plowing snow, and the mountings were so rusted, the normal ground was no good.
