Got my AC checked for leaks (none) and charged up last September and it was nice and cold. Now that the AZ heat is about to kick in and I turned on my AC, for a while I let it blow, but it's totally warm.
could it really have to be charged again? or is there perhaps a problem somewhere else?
It was converted before I bought it to the new AC (R34?), and the compressor seems to go on when I switch from the heat side to the AC side of the climate control. A cursory glance at hoses didn't seem to see anything loose or disconnected....
My '87 XLT will run A/C great then, just stop. Its a slow leak, and your probably has it too. The only way I can figure to stop it is to replace some of the hoses/ gaskets etc. So I just use my 3-60 A/C. (roll down the three windows & drive Sixty) .

I have a question, my ac hasn't worked for years and I had a test done 2 years ago saying I was low on freon and the system would work if I got it charged. so after about 2 years of no freon would my AC still work? or would the hoses and the compresser have to be replaced?
In theory it should still work, but with out being run for years, your compressor could have turned into a pile of rust, but you never know till you try

yeah I hope it works!, on one of my other vehicles this guy tore off some hoses and there was one part missing from the ac system and I added to part and new hoses and the system works.(frigged winter inside)
