ANYONE REBUILD GEM MODULES

Does anyone rebuild gem modules for 1999 f-250 4x4, I have gotten the other computers done or is this just a ford ford raping im fixin to take.....

I have never heard of a GEM being rebuilt, and if it was you would still have to have it reprogrammed by a Ford dealer.

1999-2003 gem rebuilds

cardone rebuilds the gems through oreilys i think itll cost about 126 plus tax and shipping both ways and it will have to be taken to dealer to reprogrammed im currently in similar situation right now and thats the cheapest way i found so far in getting my 99 f150 problems fixed

Not to hyjack the thread but could an existing GEM be reprogrammed. I'm curious if I could have mine reprogrammed for keyless entry. I think it's the GEM that determines whether you have Keyless or not

Why are you "rebuilding" it?

GEM's dont have to be taken to the dealership to get reprogrammed. Mechanics with the proper software can do them. Not sure is its an AE addon or seperate program. I encountered the GEM issue a few weeks ago and asked my mechanic. Luckily it was just water in the GEM-fuse block connectors causing my issues(moisture from leaky windsheild and visor)Auto Parts Cheaper Home page. Dealership Auto Parts at Low Prices.
