RABS could it cause shifting issue

I've noticed in the last while with the snow on the ground that If my 95 f150 is suposed to have rear abs It doesn't work.....

Im guessing If it's workin I would notice it?

Also my transmission is STILL shifting stupidly hard from first to second. It has the B&M stage 1 kit in it.
I fixed my stalling issues by putting a new tranny filter in it (old one fell out of place).

So im just curious if the RABS could be giving the issue....

Also the first to second shift feels about the same from the stage 2 and stage 1 shift kit.
I changed to the stage 1 springs because I didn't like the shift THAT hard but it feels the same with the stage 1 springs.
It's a harsh shift no matter how much throttle. Even accellerating slowly it still shakes the truck.

IMO shift kits were meant for vehicles that are driven hard all the time like muddin or some heavy duty off roading. Maybe goin' back to the stock configurtion mite help.

RABS isnt linked to the tranny.. they werent the best system to begin with, its kinda hard to make drum brakes not lock up in snow and ice. Of all the RABS trucks I've driven, I've never had one feel like a newer antilock system where the pedal pushes back up and you get all the groaning noises and such.

You have to remember that RABS is REAR ONLY--your front wheels will still lock up. What RABS adds, though, is that your rear end won't come around on you when you're braking on a slick surface, but the front wheels will lock and the front end will drift to the side. Thus, the technique for braking in a truck with RABS is still to pump the brakes, you just don't have to pump them as quickly as you would with no ABS at all.

There is no pulsing/groaning/buzzing.

If your RABS light is on and you're having shifting issues, your VSS may be dirty or have a loose connection, and you won't have RABS.
