Thanks for the comment rkuhn. Plan to add a bunch of picture's when I get her back from the painter. The painter has had the truck for almost two months. Talked to him on the phone earlier in the week and he mentioned they had started on it but hadn't gotten very far. Even after I get it back I will have a few weeks of work to do on her. (bed wood, door windows, trim, emblems, door locks, handles, running board skirts etc'''')
Hoping the colors I picked will look good. Exterior synergy green with the interior school bus yellow. I'm carrying the yellow to the outside in the emblems. Reason for yellow interior; was my youngest sons favorite color.

While not exactly what I'd have in my color palette selection, I think it sounds cool. Especially like the idea of the yellow emblems on green. One thing about the inside is you'll never fall asleep on long road trips.
Sounds like you need to take a "in progress trip" and bring back lots of pictures.

Well David you going to shoot me. (I forgot to take the camera)I went by the paint shop today and they had actually started on my truck this week. They had taken the entire body apart. With the bed and all fenders removed. They had spent a good deal of time on the cab, doors and hood. Where I had welded the rear corners looked very smoothed out. Every thing was covered with sanding dust. They did have the engine bay covered and taped off. I was told it should be ready in two to three weeks.

OK guys here are a few pictures of the 56 at the paint shop. Man I can't wait for them to get thru. Looks like the original color for the cab was a light green color and had been painted blue at a later date. After all the work I've done seeing it in this state really made me stop in my step.

Well after 5 years I have paint on the 56. They painted the running boards black which I hadn't planed on. Going to pull them back off and match the rest of the truck. For the next few weeks I have a ton of finishing items to do. Bed wood. door handles-glass and window guilds emblems """"
Hope you guys like bright colors. ( Synergy Green )
