can i put a bump side body on a dent side frame

You can, the cab/front clip are bolt hole exchange. In 73 Ford added 4" to the rear of the cab, adding length to the chassis in the bed area. You will have to deal with that using new welded in plates to use the existing bed holes.

If you will be using a flat bed no problems.

ok so if the wheelbase is three inches longer in 73 versus the 72. and the cab is four inches longer, does the bed need to be modified
