Update on build

Been a while since I updated so here goes, I know you guys like pictures so here goes

The floor was covered in small holes so I covered the floor with metal. It was only thin it was more about sealing it from water than strength.

The bottom of the cab had got a bit of rot so I cut it out and welded a new piece in and then plenty of filler to make good.

Started filling the roof as it resembled the pyrenees, so a lot and I mean a LOT of hard work went into it, still not good enough but I am getting there

Just purchased a scoop off my rod club site, I think it will look good once fitted and all one colour

Went to swap meet a few weeks ago and bought some bling for the engine.

Started frenching lights this weekend

Last weekend bought my wheels of ebay and got a real bargain so really happy

Before and after, come up quite well me thinks

Things are moving on slowly but at least they are moving and there is light at the end of the very long tunnel.
Anyway here`s to a good building year in 2012 and hopefully finishing my project so I will wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and I thankyou all for all the advice you have given me over the year and will see you all next year.

thanks for posting your build thread. I really appreciate seeing how other guys are coming along. I'm also amazed at how much work some of ya have to put into your projects. I'm not sure I'd still be working on mine if I had to do that much repair. Keep up the good work.

Looks like your doing good. Still working on takeing mine apart here.
Long tunnel to go thru, but in time.
Hopefully you can get enough to drive it this year. Good luck and good looking so far.

All of us guys in Arizona tend to forget what it's like to fight rust but you appear to have it in hand. I like your rat fink wall art too!

Love those wheels. I don't think you're going to be able to use those exhaust manifolds. They exit against the firewall. You'll need headers. I used Sanderson headers, they work well and fit.

Oh no? Pull out that ford and put in a chevy and wait for all cheers, lol. Then it will only be the darksiders that will have your back.
All kidding aside, this is the best group of guys to be hanging around with and the best place for info on these old trucks, stock or modified.

Nice work. Those exhaust manifolds will work fine if the engine is placed low enough. I'm using the same manifolds on my 302 and firewall clearance is not a problem...

Yes I know they will cos they were the same manifolds that were on before I took it apart and they worked then, thanks anyway Dave
