Dad's Truck Build

Kyle sent me a text message suggesting I get a larger PC oven to handle the seat bracket. But, as I told him, I think I can handle it because I can do 3' x 3' x 6' and this should fit in that. But, I haven't decided if I'll powder coat it or paint it. It has more corners and pockets than a picket fence, and powder doesn't like to go back into pockets.
On the other hand, I have plenty of the black paint that was used on the frame, and could shoot the bracket with that after media blasting it. That might be easier and would still give a good, tough finish.

You may be able to use a console from 92- 96 ford truck. Since that pan came from that era the later console may fit better. This one on ebay shows a slight angle on bottom and a 3 point mount.
That slight angle may allow for the center pan indention.

Ok, my wife liked that console so there is one bid for it now.
When I get it I can compare mounting to the other one and figure out what way to go. Nice to have options. Thanks for finding that, Kyle. I'll bug Brad on mounting now.
Bill - Please hold off on sending the other one. I may not actually know until I get the seats back and mount them, which will let me see how the two consoles look in there, and how accessible they are.

I was asked to chime in in the subject.
So here it goes.....
The 40-20-40 came out in 94 so your seat pan has to be a 94 or newer, not a 93.
As for mounting the bronco buckets to the 40-20-40 seat pan, you will also need 40-20-40 seat tracks. The bronco and supercab seat Tracks are taller than reg/or crew cab(at least in the 40-20-40 seats)
I am not exactly sure about your 91 and older bronco seats with the "ejection" style mount.
For the console, unless you shim the bronco console in the pics, it will not sit level. it was designed to sit on the inconsistent floor. The 92-96 bronco console will bolt right to the 40-20-40 seat pan(that is how they go in the lightnings)

On the console, it sounds like I do need the one I'm bidding on from eBay. We'll see how that goes, although I could shim. I have some pics I'll post later of what it would take.
Back to the tracks, I've been trying to remove the Bronco tracks from the brackets they came on. Wow! Those 4 rivets do NOT want to give up. I started with the Dremel and then realized I had 16 rivets to do and went to the mill. I took me about 2 hours to mill the rivets off and then drill out the part that remained in the tracks - on one of four tracks! So I called around and found a place that has the tracks - they want $125 for the 4 of them! So I'm back to milling and drilling.
However, I will have to drill a new hole in the pan/bracket that Kyle sent me as I'd rather drill it than the track since the rivet/bolt head is the stop for the sliding action. But that's not that big of a deal.
Having said that, if I found a set of the 40-20-40 tracks it would make it easier, so I'll do some more calling around.
