I'm trying to get the Blend door motor out of my 98 E350.
Is there any easy way to get to it?
From everything I'm finding it looks like a nightmare to change.
Having changed mine the motor alone is simply mounted to the side of the heater core/evaporator case, four hex-headed screws holding it in place, 8mm IIRC. The connector has a clip that needs to be released if you want to disconnect it before removal. If in doubt use a small mechanic's mirror and light to survey all this before you begin.
If you're talking about the blend door that's not as complex as it would first seem. In fact according to my 1997 E250 Ford Service Manual we need to begin by dropping the steering column and removing the entire dashboard! LOL
