Is this like "Warning: May contain peanuts"???
I am pretty sure my truck is alergic to BioDiesel.
Filled up the other day and this is the first time I have seen this. On a Shell pump in Spruce Grove (Edmonton area) Alberta Canada. Anyone else force fed BioDiesel?
I haven't seen that up here (Fort McMurray) yet, but we've been force-fed gas with "up to 10% ethanol" for some time, so I'm sure it's coming soon to a pump near you (and me and everybody else.)
It is really hard to find here in Utah. But there is one station I buy from in the warmer months that sells a B-20 product. It has worked just fine in my trucks. If I'm in the area, I top of my tank to get a little Bio for the lubricating qualities into my tank. But I typically avoid it in the winter months when it is much colder and I'm worried about gelling.
The B5% stickers showed up around the same time the E10% stickers showed up on gas pumps. The receipt shows 'BIODL'.
Isn't Biodiesel in that percentage good for lubricity? There was some discussion earlier that biodiesel is theoretically better than ultra low sulphur petroleum diesel in lubricity, but it has a shorter shelf life and worse cold weather performance (so I'm wondering if it actually contains any in the current blend product). I don't want to bring up the 'H' word in this thread but I'm not sure it's really a bad thing. Meh?

I am not anti biodiesel (although I make my money from conventional oil). I just don't like not being able to make the decision myself. But I guess I should be used to that by now.
You are likely correct, there may not be any bio in the winter blend (prob why it says "may") but if so why put the stickes on in December?

I think that particular station forgot to put them on when everyone else did, so they're fixing that now. Or are you saying it showed up on all Shell oil retail locations just now?

OH OK, I only hit a select few Shell stations (Retail) and had never seen it before. When did you first see it?
