I have a glow shift fuel pressure guauge thats like 200 miles old. Always stayed right around 60PSI even when I stomped on it. I noticed out of the corner of my eye today the guage bouncing up and down. It never goes below 55 but when I step on the gas, the guage goes up now and then bounces around within about 5 psi. at idle it stays at 60. Is this my fuel pump going or something else?
Honestly it could just be your gauge. Glowshift's Chinese quality control isn't exactly world renown as many people on the forum have posted less than stellar reviews. Sorry, not knocking your new purchase but would hate to see you diagnose something that might not be there.
You can always throw on a mechanical fuel pressure gauge. The parts stores will rent them to you for free. You will need an adapter #4 ORB. But at least you can verify it.
Garsm, i'm rock'n 10 of them, and tell you what, i'm beginning to lose faith in them. Right now, i've contacted them as early as today, in regards to the trans, fuel and oil pressure gauges. I've verified that both the fuel and oil pressure gauges crapped out (installed a new pressure sender on each line), and getting the same reading. The trans, well that just stopped reading temperature.
I need to scrounge up my p/o orders, and get back ahold of them. If it goes as well as the EGT gauge went, then i cant say anything bad about the service anyways, andthe egt now is working great....will keep this thread updated to the conclusion of the phone call tomorrow, though.
