Completely off topic but....
I've had a fan-friggen-tastic day!!
At 2:15PM today, I made the final payment on my house, and completed the paperwork for the deed to the property.
At 2:16PM today, I did the "no mortgage" dance!!! (right in front of the lawyer)

I did that 20 years ago. I was amazed at how much extra money I seemed to have when I didn't need to make house payments - but then, my mortgage's interest rate was 11.5%!

Man, I am SO jealous!!!!
I ended up refinancing my house 3 times during periods of extended unemployment almost 10 years ago and am back to a 30-year loan with more than 20 years still remaining....

Welcome aboard, and congrats!
I wish I had a house that was paid for, but renting isn't all that bad. Someone else can deal with making (and paying for) repairs.......
