After a check of the vaccum system, sensors, gas cap(fuel) and floor mats :-) , was not able to find anything wrong. So, removed the batt terminals from the battery for about 15 mins, reinstalled....check engine light went off and has so far stayed off. Been about 8 days now (knocking on wood!). I think my suspicions were correct, punched it too hard up a hill after I replaced the battery, while the "system" was trying to relearn the idle\RPM modes.
Anyway...wanted to say "thanks for all the help".....this forum kicks a$$!!!!
Did you replace your fuel filter? I had the same problem and did everything you did. Before I tried to clean the sensors and/or take it in, somone on here suggested to change my fuel filter. Sure enough! It worked like a charm!
I am on my way to get a fuel filter and try that, as well as another "go over" of the others! Thanks for the suggestions.....keeping my fingers crossed!!
