Plug not firing?
I changed the plugs on my 73 f250 360 the other day, and all of them but one had the normal signs of age/ use. The oddball was the #8 cyl wich was CLEAN, like juct out of the box clean and smelled strongly of gas. (a little wet also, presumably, gas). Now my mild logic would tell me siply that this cyl was not firing, but the truck runs like a dream. So therein lies my dilema, why was it clean, and if its not firing, how is it running so well?
Told you it sounded stupid, but curious at the same time.
Thanks guys
I'd start by swapping 2 wires and see what happens, the replace the new plug with one of the old ones and see what happens.
A V8 will run on 7, I did and it ran pretty good, just had a bit of a miss. You really need to find the problem.
