-Looking for a set to try & protect our new tt from stuff flying up from rear tires, does anyone have a recommendation? I've seen the Husky Liner ones-I like them-moulded looking rather than the old style straight flaps.
They mount to the holes that hold the fenderliner in place. You should have the little metal spring clips that allow self tapping screws to screw into.
When I mounted my flaps I took the spring bumper off and welded a piece of 1/8" X 1" flat stock to it and drilled mounting holes in that for the flaps and then put it back on the truck. Worked like a charm.
I had them on my 2008 dually - I liked them a lot but did lose one once hauling hay on a really rough dirt road - I bought a new set - I traded my 08 though before I got around to putting it back on - if they would work on your year and you are interested in them let me know - have been in my garage for a year.

As much as I would love a set of mud flaps, I've ripped a set off in one day. How you ask? Backing up is about the only way I have accomplished this. Go in reverse and have them drag the ground and get sucked under the tire, or back into a parking spot with curbs and have it get pinched between the tire and curb then there you go. What bothers me more is worrying about it damaging a fender when it gets ripped off. I don't like em much but the sweeps that hang down from your rear bumper seem to work well. I think Barney is running one.
Here are my huskyliners I put them on 1 week after buying the truck they have about 75,000 miles on them and work just fine.I have 305/ 70/ 16's with a 2" spacer in these pictures .

Thanks Dave for the pics and words!! So, you have 2" spacers where?? are you spacing your wheels out? why?
Like me, the limiting factor with duals is with a tire any bigger than a 265, the tires will rub together and possibly cause extra heat and cause premature failure. Probly not but that's what they say. Plus have you ever seen someone try and unbolt a fully inflated dual wheel that is mashed together? Not pretty! There is a severe load on the lug nuts and studs in that scenario. Plus with the spacers it looks a lil tougher!
