What Gear?

I'm putting a new set of tires on my Bronco (32x11.5 15). It came from the factory with 31x10.50 15. The rear gear is 3.55. What speedometer gear will I need to make it read correctly or is this not enough of a change in tire height to really worry about.

I would not probably adjust the speedo. I bought my '87 XLT with only 29" passenger tires on it, and I have 32s o it now, and i just keep in mind that I am always going just a little faster than the speedo says. Your one inch differance will not probably even be noticable, unless you drive everywhere at 80-90mph.

What year is your rig? There might not even be a gear if its newer. I agree with bama, its not that big of a difference to warrant the change, just realize youre running a bit faster than it says you are.

It's an 89. Bought it just about three weeks ago. 302, 5 speed, with 54,000 miles on it. The Chief of Police here in our town owned it. He hardly ever drove the thing, it was sitting under an oak tree. He decided to sell it because he bought a new F-250 Crew Cab V10 4x4 loaded.
