HELLLO! I'M NEW TO THE FORUM BECAUSE I'M NEW TO DIESEL,
I OWN A 2001, F-250, CREW CAB, 4X4, PSD. I INSTALLED A 6" LIFT AND I'M RUNNING 37'S ON IT. I BOUGHT A SUPERCHIP PROGRAMMER AND SET IT TO RUN ON THE 80HP SETTING, BECAUSE OF MY LACK OF KNOWLEDGE ON DIESEL I HAVE NOT UPGRADED MY EXHAUST. MY MAIN CONCERN IS THAT I HAVE A 12 HOUR TRIP COMING UP AND I WON'T BE TOWING ANYTHING BUT I'M CONCERNED ABOUT THE EFFECT OF THE PROGRAMMER ON MY ENGINE, SHOULD I PUT IT BACK TO STOCK FOR THE TRIP?? OR MAYBE SET IT TO "TOW SAFE" MODE? OR I CAN LEAVE IT AS IT IS NOW?? ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANK YOU!!!
You will get responses here, but I would try the diesel board for the guys that really know. I wouldn't YELL at them though. Be nice and type softly in lower case.
