alright, ive been out of an f150 for a few months now. worst mistake of my life. and now im looking into OBS ones again. i know alot about them, seeing as i had a 93 before. but i also know that they have pretty ****ty frames. they like to right around where the cab and bed seperate. now, how could i strengthen the frame? i was thinking boxing it all the way back. now, at the same time, would that be enough to maybe handle the power of a diesel under the hood? just throwing ideas around.
if you are even thinking about a diesel then get a 250 or 350 frame and dont wast your time with a 150 frame !
all the trucks that i have had never cracked a frame on the rear !

Bingo....And in the F-250's......Make sure it's a diesel truck prior to purchasing, if thats your goal....
The 351w/Gassers have a Lighter Duty frame....From that I've gleaned...The 460's, not sure about'em...
Also, the cracks you speak of, are you sure you're not referring to the FRONT, where the steering box is mounted? If so, yes, thats a weak point in the frames for some odd reason....Just cut the wheels and have some check for you.....
If you get another truck, PLEASE don't get a gasser, and try to swap to a diesel....Unless you do the 4bt setup....Even then, some reinforcement would be nice....
If you are planing on putting a diesel in, just buy a diesel truck. It will be 10x cheaper an easier, than trying to cabbage patch a a diesel into a 1/2 ton
