Lightbulb Another FTE newbie

As the thread states, I'm a newbie to FTE. Just picked up my second Ford vehicle tonight, an '88 F150-Custom Long Bed 4WD w/ 351/C6/4speed auto setup.

While I've never been a big Ford fan, I hope this one doesn't let me down. I needed a basic pickup to haul the dirtbike with and take the trash off... Found this one locally and haggled over the price...The body is in really good (not GREAT but pretty darn good for a vehicle this age) shape. Has been re-painted at some point, so that's in good shape also..

At any rate, I hope to gain a wealth of knowledge from this forum, as I immediately plan to do a few things to the truck to help give it that "personal touch". Exhaust, Tires (32's+), bedliner, seat swap out of an XLT/Lariat model, replace teh floor liner (possibly with carpet?) Replace the valve cover gaskets, timing cover seal or h/blncr seal (whichever I find is leaking), K&N FIPK, tint, plugs/wires/distributor cap and finally, a 4"+ suspension lift.

Any replies as to what your personal experiences are with this particular truck and the upgrades mentioned will be appreciated!

yo Bikerider,
Some hubs are ahrd to find new replacemtns for, esp if it is an "early" 88 model w/flange style hubs. So find out what type you have in case they need replacement soon.
Also, ck gas tank and oil pan for rust.
Have fun with it!!
Al
