Funny you mention this Dave. A caption in today's paper said that a Pearl Harbor survivors group is being disbanded effective 12-31-2011 due to health and lack of living members to participate.

Throughout my day yesterday, I was stopping and asking younger people if they knew or understood the historical significance of Dec 7, 1941. Most said no. How fricken sad. I fear that the sacrifices of the greatest generation will be forgotten once our generation has passed.

I bet it would surprise you how many young folks can't name the currant vice president is.
If dec. 7th is not on a popular video game many will never hear or think about it.
