Hi The F-150 guys told me too check here.
My dad is looking for heavier disc brakes for his 2000 F-150 4.6L
He has warped his rotors about 4, or 5 times since he bought it new in sept. 2000. I would like to know if there is a kit to put beefier brakes on this truck.
Any help would be appreciated.
From: I'm lost somewhere in NJ -- can someone please find me?!?!?!?
Heavier disc brakes.
Here's a link to the group purchase we had going for A.R.T. rotors & pads. Keep in mind these are for the F-250, and not an F-150. I'm sure the same company makes a product for your application, too. So far, I haven't seen anything on the boards where anyone who bought the A.R.T.'s had problems with them.
There are a couple of companies that make an upgrade kit for you brakes. One is EGR brakes. the other is Stainless Steel brakes. I think you will have to use one of the search engines to get hold of them. If I come accross either I'll try and get them posted. Both boast an increase in performance but you will have to be the judge of that.
