Universal joints '92F150

Are the u-joints on the '92 F150 factory sealed? Anyway to service them or do I just drive until they fail? Any input here will be appreciated.

If they're factory they're most likely sealed. If you don't see any zerks, that's your answer. Drive them until they fail, or better yet, replace them before they fail!

Thanks for the reply. I have about 115,000 easy miles on the truck. Any idea how long the u-joints might last?

My stock Spicers went south around 130k but there's a million variables. With 115k I'd replace them, at the very least set aside a weekend in the next couple months to do it.

I had a nasty squeaking coming from my front u-joint at 121,000miles.Only happened in reverse. I just fixed it at 133,000. The front set of bearings had one bearing rusted and broken up. 92 F150 4.9l E4od 2wd. Cost me 130.00 at a shop
