But we picked up a new ride. Well ok, it's for Michelle... The Focus, though only an 08 was getting long in the tooth for commuting, it had 165k on it. We got a good deal on this, it's American, and American made. of mastly US and Canadian parts at least. So we did our part to help the economy...

The current Escape (and Mercury Mariner) are companions to the Mazda Tribute.
Since FoMoCo has divested itself of 30% of Mazda, losing controlling interest (retained 3%), the next generation (2013) Escape is based off the 2012 Focus platform.
