I recently (a few weeks ago) had my truck in the shop and had a EGR delete installed, they replaced the oil cooler and cleaned the turbo. A few days ago I was working and made a few stops, the last stop I started the truck up and put it in reverse to back out of a parking space, when I put it in reverse it stalled, I was able to restart it again, rev the engine once and was able to make it home. The next day I had to pick someone up from the airport, I made it back and forth okay, but they wanted me to stop at a fast food joint to get them dinner, I turned off the truck because the girl couldn't hear me, it started back up just fine, I pulled out into traffic and made it to the turn lane but the truck stalled again, again I was able to start it up give it a little rev and made it home.
I just measured the volts on the FICM this morning, on was at 48.5/.6, cranked was at 47.6. OBDII gave an error of P0401 (Insufficient EGR Flow), I didn't pay the $500 for the chip to turn off CEL foe EGR, so that should show until I can afford to buy the chip. Any ideas, or anywhere else I can check and get back to you guys??
If it stalled, it should have some codes set. Swing by an AutoZone or other parts store, they will usually scan it for free. Be sure to write them down as there may be several. You also might want to try snagging the fuel filters while you're there if they have the Motorcraft in stock and they haven't been changed recently.

Would the parts store attach some other kind of scanner other than an OBDII? Cuz I already attached mine and got only the one code, which was for the EGR, since I have an EGR delete kit without the chip to turn off that code, I should see that code all the time. My fuel filters should be fine, I replaced them about 6 months after I bought the truck, they're probably about a year old now, I certainly hope they don't have to be replaced more often than every year, I believe the manual says every 30k miles, I definitely have not put 30k since replacing. Also, I use nothing but Motorcraft stuff for replacement.
My issue has gotten worse, I was headed up in the mountains yesterday when my truck died on the highway as I reached the top of a hill and started down it just shut off. I pulled over and waited for 15 minutes and tried to restart, it cranks but doesn't turn over. I had to get a tow truck to take me back home. I haven't looked for any codes as of yet, but I will this morning. It has to be a fuel issue of some sort, since the truck cranks and it sounded like the fuel pump was pumping fuel before trying to start, I'm not sure what to check. I'll probably start simple by checking fuses this morning, re-check the FICM, anything else? HFCM, fuel pressure regulator...
