Coolant heater pump

I just crawled under and noted that there is a drain plug on each side of the motor. The obvious one is on the passenger side just above the starter. I noticed that our kits include a replacement plug for attaching a heater hose to.

It might be easier to remove the starter for more room to work but it looks like it might work with it in place. I have big hands so mine might need to come out for more space.

What wattage heater do you have? Do you get instant heat in the morning?

I believe it is 1500 watt. As far as instant heat, and I assuming you are referring to heat in the cab, no. But, the engine fires right up, the starter spins it like it's warm (it helps that I run synthetic oil too) and I know it's gotta be better on the batteries. Warmth to the cab time is shortened, but it's not instantaneous.
