Inspiring words of faith and wisdom, John. Our own perspective on "life" often improves when we take the time to have fellowship with our family and friends, show kindness to those in need, and especially give thanks to our Lord for His blessings. Merry Christmas to the Niolon's.

John,

I want to congratulate you on your good fortune and to thank you for your expression of the true meaning of Christmas.

I grew up in a time when small towns still had life and the spirit of the holidays and greeting others warmed your soul. It was a simpler time back then, just like the trucks that we now admire. We have taken a detour in this age of non-stop media coverage and reality shows to highlight the faults of man and to cheer their misfortunes.

It is heartwarming to know that, within the fabric of America, decent, kind, and generous people still exist. Thanks for putting us back on the right road and for restoring my faith that your words represent the “silent majority’.

What a great message....thank you and yours for reminding all of us to slow down and take a breath. As an old friend of mine used to say...the blue marble has circumnavigated the sun once again, so we all have another year under our belts!!

In spite of a couple of setbacks during the year (we also lost our 14 year old dog, and a cat (the good one)), I have to say the 2011 has really been shining on me and my family....

My oldest son is in the Air Force...he was accepted at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) to work on a masters degree. He'll be moving from Dale's neck of the woods to Ohio this summer.

My middle son is also in the Air Force...was accepted into a pilot training slot....he couldn't be happier.

My youngest son....he's also in the Air Force...attending the Air Force Academy in Colorado. He's in the middle of his junior year (OK they call it the 2-degree year) & seems to be doing well & is looking forward to the Christmas break!

My daughter is attending SJSU...she beat out 1100 other candidates and was accepted into the nursing program (OK....62 were accepted out of 1200 applicants this semester....not too shabby!!).

and...I did get the truck started...for the first time in 13 years!!

With all of the good fortune, I wondering if our luck will run out...or if it's just the hard work paying off for everybody.....Hmmm...I'll have to think about that for a while.

Merry Christmas to all of you!!

Dan
