I hear people running all kinds of fuels in their diesels. Is there a chart listing what to mix with these alternatives fuels I.e how much oil to add to jet fuel etc.
Depending on which engine your running will determine what you can get away with. The older 7.3L and especially the 7.3L IDI & 6.9L IDI you can just about run anything through 'em; motor oil, ATF, WVO, SVO and all kinds of blends on biodiesel. The newer engines (6.0L, 6.4L, 6.7L) are very picky about what you put in the fuel tank. I've run B20 throw my truck several times with no problem. I've heard of guys running good & clean B100 without an issue...I just can't get it anywhere around where I'm at. My question would be, what are you looking at?
Propane injection is the way to go. Dr. Diesel wrote in his original manuscript that by fumigating the engine with 10% natural gas the engine made 50% more power and less emissions. It has a higher flash point than diesel, so in the combustion process it ignites second but also creates higher temperatures in the chamber aiding in the more complete burning of the diesel or alternate fuel of choice. This makes more power, less emissions, and is notably more efficient. He also ran his engine on peanut oil, which is pretty cool.
Im not looking at anything particular. Just wanted to see if there was an actual diagram or chart to go with these claims. It sounds like Russian roulette if it's a guessing game. What is B200 and what is the pro and cons to it?
