Compustar auto start problem

Well I will start here to see if anyone has heard or seen this before. My truck came with a compustar 3000 in it but no remotes. SO I bought a new remote and antenae. The alarm part works fine but when you use the auto start feature. It starts for 3-5 seconds and shuts off. It does it 3 times and then is supose to blink the lights where the problem is. The problem I have is NO lights blink at all.

The LCD remote should display an error code when this happens

The truck cycles, then starts, runs for 3 seconds, then shuts down? Correct?

Do the parking lights flash once when you command the start?
Do the lights stay on for the few seconds while running?

Just guessing, go to their web site and look at the manual for your specific model. Might be a run time program issue, it has all the requirements met to start...so I would look at that. Hard telling how long the unit has been installed and where the settings are at. Puzzles me a programmable run time of 5 seconds would be available. I have the Astro-Start so I know you can fudge settings with a remote in your pocket....

Go do some reading....

And another wild shot in the dark.....it may not be getting a signal the truck is running so it cycles 3 times then gives up.

John I have looked at there site including owner and installation manuals but there is nothing about run time. The only thing I found is it says you can change between 10-25 minutes for a diesel and they dont explain how to do it. Just says see the installer.dealer...

That is what I was thinking since the lights don't flash but I don't know where to begin looking for that....Just was trying to see if anyone else has heard of this....

Looks like your parking light output wire is not even hooked up to the truck then or maybe it is fused. I would get under the dash and take a look around. Do you have the model number?

I don't think that is the issue because if it times out on run time it wouldn't try to restart.
