2006 4x4 troubleshooting help

2006 4x4 troubleshooting help
Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. I have a 2006 f150 5.4 XLT 4x4.
Well, supposed to be 4x4, It is failing to shift into 4wd at this time. I read through the IWE post and got a pump and tested everything but the vacuum box and everything help vacuum. I replaced the solenoid this morning for good measure. I got the newer version with the protective cover.
When I flip the switch, the light comes on on the dash and I hear a click that assume means the shift motor is working.
I checked all fuses in the box that were labeled as having to do with 4wd function. I didnt have a way to test the relays
Any more ideas on what to test and how? How do I check the function of the axle shafts?
