Transfer case adapter???

Hello, Im looking for a transfer case adapter for my 79 F250. I have a question---Are they all interchangeable?
My transmission is a T-18 and transfer case is NP-205. Will a adapter from a NP-435 transmission work for me, or does it have to be from a BW T-18?

Transfer case adapter???

The adapters are different, there is an adapter for each different transmission. The adapters have which trans. they are for, cast in the right side.
