height difference

height difference

I have a 2001 Expedition it is bluish purple in color and for some reason it seems to sit higher than the other expeditions and the excursions does anyone know why this is?

A previous owner probably modified the suspension with a lift kit. What kind of springs does it have?

there are no signs of a lift kit and i recently checked out the same vehicle in the same color and it sat just as high but yet the other colored ones that i have parked near and on the lot were significantly shorter

Must be that new light weight, helium based paint that's only available in that color.
Seriously though, it might be a difference in the suspension package, tow package or between 2 WD and 4 WD. Be happy, most want to lift these trucks and you are already there.

It's the paint. Everyone knows the bluish ones are lighter. How about tire diameters?

My '01 is the same color. Just washed, it looks eggplant in strong sunshine and navy blue in lower light. Guess I bought the thing at dusk. I noticed the height differences described here and was similarly curious until I became familiar with the air suspension. The truck rides high on the road and is much lower when parked. Be sure that the air suspension (if equipped) is functioning properly and you may find your answer.
