My buddy 95 will crank over but will not start. Is there any things that go out on these that can cause this to happen. Truck has around 200000 any help please

first check to see if the tach moves when cranking...CPS is a common problem that is a simple fix...no tach movement=new CPS....I believe the grey one is what most recommend....you could also check fues 22...it controls the fuel heater and PCM if I remember correctly...but those who know better will chime in I'm sure...hth

Crankshaft position sensor on the front of the motor at about 11 oclock position. Like said, it a common problem, easy fix for about $25.

Cam position sensor. Go to ford and get one. If the Tach doesn't move its probaly your problem. Also as said above check fuse 22. If the fuel heater in the bowl breaks loose it will kill the pcm power. Don't why they put em on the same circuit but they did. Two easy things to check first. Let us know what happens

Also, i know your friend replaced the cps, but ask him if it was a motorcraft cps. If it werent, it couldve gone bad. I know that a few guys have had their non motorcrafts go bad in weeks.

The reservoir is in the front of the motor with a hexagon bolt in it. Oil should be half inch or so from the top. A lot of cranking will lower the oil level.
