Take and crank the engine from the fender mounted starter solenoid with out the fuel solenoid plugged in. If it is still making that thump noise thru the intake and doesn't crank smoothly then it has a bad valve most likely intake if not exh as well. If its not smooth crank it will have a sped up point and will point to a low hole. I would pull the valve covers as well and observe the operation of the valve train.

Then yes it most likely has a bad intake valve. Also just to confirm did you notice any smoke coming from the intake with air cleaner assy removed. The fuel could be coming from that low hole not burning it completely or at all but not sure. The bad valve can be found by performing a leak down test, and listening on the intake and exhaust. Good luck.

Just pull the valve covers and look for burnt or broken springs/rockers/ so on. Drain the oil.to get the diesel out of it. When the IP seal goes bad it will also fill the crankcase,

Not sure if it was mentioned, but another source for fuel in the oil would be a bad mechanical fuel pump.

I really hope your luck changes. You really deserve a break after all thats happened.

Damn, Quintin, you can't win for losing. I'm sorry to hear about all this. We all have those times in our lives when noting goes right. Hell, I can't get a date never mind a girlfriend so don't feel too bad.

I second checking out that fuel pump. Maybe it caused the problem in the first place and you just never knew it. I still think the chugging/thumping is more than diesel in the oil, at this point.

ouch.rough times.sorry to hear man.
with so much fuel in the oil,id be investigating the lift pump too.like stated, the diaphragm can rupture and fill her base.hopefully that's all it is,and you can replace it,fill her fresh oil and she keeps going.
really it would had been best of course to stop and check the oil when you first hear these kind of sounds and possibly fix the issue road side.but sounds like you had more important issues on your mind besides a truck.
good luck man.

Yeah, the love of my life was walking out!! I will figure it out, I am in a hotel parking lot, but I have my tools and I got my iron will to keep moving forward, I aint gonna let this truck ruin everything. If I have to I will have the 84's motor pulled out and brought to me to swap into my 90...

Man it terrible to hear that.

I hope I didn't offensive to anyone on here and Aune.

That fiance wasn't going to stick with you after these issues couple weeks aren't real supporter for you or right woman.

I see tons like these near my home area. They would walk away if guy or woman lost job or had issues. Real one will stick with guy or woman though bad issues or cancers.

And I will never had GF or wife cause I don't want these in my way. I enjoy my life peace and not stress.

Aune
I don't know but at powerstroke 7.3L they had BANG/thump it turn out push rod on rocker fell off or bent. You could try long screwdrive and put on each exhaust port and try listen which noise that not supposed to be there.

Really sounds like the best route is to pull the valve covers... I'm going to 2nd a guess on a valve problem.

We have a TD-15 at work that does the same thing, haven't looked into it through so i can't help much.

Sorry about your luck bud...
