Since my Ranger has gotten kicked out of the garage for the next few years, I've been thinking for a cab only cover. I'd like a cab only because the Ranger is my DD, and it might help with the snow/frost/ice during the winter and sun in summer time. So far the only one I've been able to find are for full size trucks. Example here. Step 1: Manufacturer / Year
If anyone spots one, can you drop me a note?
Thanks,
Those look like a pretty nice idea! I'd never thought of something like that.
I think they'd go a long way toward keeping the cab & hood clean and crud-free.
About the only negative consideration I can figure (other than the price of some of them) would be removing that cover in the morning after a few inches of snowfall.
It only takes about 15 seconds to deploy and cover the cab...30 seconds to store it in the pouch. Nothing to store in the cab...so you don't have to worry about taking up space in the cab or gitting it dirty from the cover. Wind actually helps you cover the cab versus the others that you end up fighting with the wind!
I have found that those basic covers don't do very well in windy situations. Also...they are a bear to put on (like all the other covers out there) in the slightest windy conditions. The kind that go over the mirror pockets would do better than those. Thanks fer the input though...
I'm really wanting to coverall the windows. Son started a 2+ year project in the garage and the Ranger is now outside. I really want to protect the interior during the hot Oklahoma summers, plus help when it gets frosty in the winter.
I found this site Car Covers, Car Sun Shades - California PopTop. Sent off an email, and he said that he was going to work on one this winter. I'll give him a couple months and see how its going.
