Well I am moving on to another chapter in my truck. I am looking at a new transmission and rear end. For the transmission I am going to get an old E4OD from a junk yard to replace the one I have. But I have a lot of performance parts that I want to be put into the new tranny. Essentially I want to get it rebuilt with these performance parts.
So I am looking for suggestions of places where I can take a use tranny with these parts I have for it and have it rebuilt (I live in Colorado Springs but I work in Denver, would prefer to find someone on the Springs but am not opposed to Denver).
Walk into the service department at CSU and ask for Larry Hull. Larry has nearly 30 years experience, many of them as a dealership mechanic, and transmission specialist.
I've know Larry for about five years. He is a straight shooter, and likes to provide the kind of service that earns customer loyalty.
Yap, Larry Can handle it fo sho, If that wont work let me know I have a friend who specializes in performance transmission builds in the Parker/Castle Rock area also.

I am just about at the point where I need to focus on my tranny, should I go into Larry's workplace and talk to him about this? I guess I am not sure if he would be doing this as part of that business or on the side, so I am not sure how to approach. Also, do you know if he works on Saturday's?
Larry usually works every other Saturday. You can contact him as " Warrlord" on RMFTC.com. His workplace gives a discount to RMFTC members also. I think he does some small jobs on the side for friends, but not sure about a complete tranny build. And he is a real standup guy.

my father inlaw is a transmission tech for ammco. He does a lot of tranny side work and is very brought up in performance upgrades. He races circle track cars and works there in springs. He is usually pretty reasonable if you let him take it home and build it at his shop at home. If you'd like his number I can give it to you.
I have a friend who has a neighbor who has a trans shop & builds good e4ods. Did my friends Bronco couple years ago & he has been real happy with it. And he has wheeled it really hard.
